Hi, I'm Sunny! I'm a trans Filipina writer interested in soft words and softer love. I write about the body — the anatomical body, the transgendered body, the loving body — through poetry and memoir.
Born and raised in Illinois, I'm now based in Queens, NY and am currently a third-year medical student pursuing trans healthcare. In 2023, I was named a Brooklyn Poets Fellow; I'm now an editor for Narrateur, our medical school's literary magazine.
When I'm not cramming for exams, I enjoy shooting film, reading tarot cards, and riding the New York City subway!
